Pattern Day Trading: Why does it exist? To protect us? From what? Do you ask for a W2 for everyone literally walking into a casino to see if they are capable of losing what they are risking? No, they are free to spend as they please. Funny, I thought that's what a free market was for too?
Market Makers: You want us to literally just stop, leave, and use a casino? Use DraftKings and that sort of platform, ok. Now what, how do you make your money off of "dumb money" when it's gone? You need us, we need you.
*WHY* is a collective of people on Reddit such a danger?: For the sake of arguing, before this happened, there were 800,000 of us just being collectively dumb together. LETS JUST SAY, combined, we had 1 billion dollars between 800,000 people. That's scary? You lost 2.7b in the first wave of short losses, then asked for help for another 3b. Do you know what that means? THAT MEANS, that hedge funds, as a collective, is the problem, NOT REDDIT.

Trading is passive income, not a job: Yeah, it's a passive way to kill time for 95% of us, make a little side money, couple grand here or there, sometimes get lucky and make 10k. This is a lot for regular people, it's literally NOTHING to you, but debt payment and vacation funds for us.
We are Degenerates and Dumb Money: If a large group of dumb people cost you money is a problem...then why is a large group of smart people (you market makers and hedge funds) that manipulate costs to take dumb moneys money away, allowed?

I’m a layman when it comes to the world of Wall Street, but my current disposition from the outside looking in includes several criticisms. I know there are plenty more knowledgeable people on the subject around so here are my points of contention:

Reliability of success - How is the stock market any different than a casino? Sure, you can arguably make as educated of a guess as possible based on all sorts of information, but at the end of the day a share’s value is constantly at the mercy of any unforeseen event that could decimate that value at any moment. We’ve all heard the story of the literal monkey that created a portfolio that outperformed actual ‘experts’ in the field.
Shareholders have a negative influence on the actions of a company - while investors provide the financial means of expansion and innovation that looks great on paper, I believe they more often than not become a pervasive influence on the direction and accountability many companies hold themselves to. Catering to investors over the benefit of the consumeend user is a scale tipped completely in the wrong direction. It encourages companies to feign success and assure infinite growth in the interest of securing immediate unearned funding.
The consequences of trading are not limited to those taking the risk - A business can be the livelihood of thousands of real working people with families to feed and provide for. What happens when that business leans too heavily on it’s value on the charts? Does this not place the outlook of an entire workforce and their loved ones in the hands of a group of traders whose commitment only exists if there’s a buck to be made?

For these reasons, I view the entire stock market operation as a glorified casino for those with more time and money than sense. A slot machine that potentially puts people’s jobs at risk making the act of frivolous trading arguably unethical in some cases. I realize that an argument can be made for the contrasting positive side to some of the points I’ve mentioned (e.g. The stock market can enable a business to prosper and support families just as well as they could hurt them) but ultimately my view is that the stock market and its effects are more negative than positive.

This happened a few hours ago.
The session lasted 9 hours and consisted of a roulette strategy that immediately began to generate huge profits without constant accumulated losses one after the other. This strategy did not allow to lose more than three times in a row in an automatic bet. It was like this for 9 hours.
Three hours in, when I was up 8 or 9k$, I got in touch with the live chat and told them I could have found a bug because I was winning too much. Yes, that's what I did. They said they'll investigate. I kept winning, and when I reached 15k$ , I started to withdraw. After withdrawing the first 5k they froze my account. I could still play, but I couldn't get any money out of my wallet. The administrator sent me a message when I was at 38k and told me that yes, there was a bug. In the end, he left me 6.5k, and I got the XP points. Bug bounty I guess.
I still can't breathe when I think about it.
TL;DR I went from $250 ton 38k$ in 9 hours using simple strategy, let support know about "too good to be true" winnings and they confirmed "a bug". They let me keep 6,5k$ tho.
