Cyberpunk 2077 - Complete List of Issues

--THIS POST MAY CONTAIN MISSION SPOILERS WITHIN LISTED ISSUES OR OTHER SUB HEADINGS SO YOU'VE BEEN WARNED--
The release of Cyberpunk 2077 has been... unpleasant. I'm sure there's a bunch more issues with the game than what I've outlined here.
But remember this post is not a bashing post, it's designed to help CDPR diagnose issues/problems with the core design of Cyberpunk 2077.
We can only hope that most if not all of these issues outlined here are being worked on... or that CDPR know about them. As a QA guy, this doesn't look good for anyone right now.
So let's do our best as the consumer of their product to do our best at helping them outline problems. But let's not forget this game was in development for 8 years... doesn't matter if that was conceptual or prototyping it took 8 years to get to this state.
So let's try to help CDPR get notified on what we as gamers believe is wrong with the experience... I know there's already a mega thread for this but wouldn't hurt.
These are all my notes after playing the game, I'll keep this thread updated as more issues get discovered... but it's 5am right now so might not be updated right away just be patient.
If you do have issues, please follow the "Format" at the bottom of this post.

(PART 2) Comparison of popular watches on this subreddit and what their upcoming price may be on 11.11

Hi again! I figured that I should do another comparison on popular watches and their upcoming price. This could also be used as a reference guide for future purchases.
I have noticed that some watches has been going up in price recently so it could be wise to find some sort of price tracker to see if it is really worth it. I haven't seen any indication that it is the case for the watches I'm writing about.
Here's part one for you who are interested. In part 1 I've done a comparison between submariner, GMT-master II, Aqua Terra, and "no time to die 007" homages
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Let's start with Explorer homages

Quite bad lume. The numerals are fading quite quickly. Some issues to open the clasp. Hard to use glide lock.

" I have the Phylida Explorer. The big advantage over the Bliger and Parnis is the 100M WR versus the 30M “splash” proof rating on the others. The glide lock extension is a nice touch.
As far as disadvantages, rotor noise is # 1, but I think they all have Miyota / DG movements so not really a disadvantage compared to the others. The other disadvantage is a dial that’s too small and a bezel that’s too thick (the case is spot on at 39mm, but the dial / bezel are out of proportion.) But again, all three have that same disadvantage"

Adjusting the strap and taking pins out was a mission!! this was partly due to the hollow links. Decent watch for the price but definitely not a quality watch... " - aliexpress customer review
Some claim that the movement stopped working after a couple of months or so.

NOTE: As I was writing this I was thinking about including the Didun Design royal oak homage since I was seriously think about buying it and it's quite popular on youtube but it looks like they pulled the watch from the store as well as the official store from aliexpress. Looking for a startup idea? Here's a problem to solve.

Hey everyone! I've been really geeking out on finding problems that I think could be turned into meaningful businesses. I'm sharing all my ideas here if you're interested. Here's what I've been thinking about lately -

Keeping track of betting lines is a pain

“I love sports betting but it’s hard to keep track of the betting odds on all the different betting apps. I’ve created a spreadsheet and do it manually, but I still need to search through all the sites to get the information. I’d definitely pay for something that did this automatically.” - Anonymous sports better seeking a solution.
Market Background/Opportunity Size:
Changes in sports betting law have created amazing entrepreneurial opportunities! It's like the goldrush here given how young this market is and how quickly things are changing in the US.
On May 14, 2018, the United States supreme court ruled the federal law prohibiting states from authorizing sports betting, protection act PASPA, unconstitutional. It is now up to individual states to decide if they want to authorize and regulate sports betting in their state. 18 states have fully legalized sports betting with 4 more passing bills just this year to legalize it (they aren’t operational yet).
Even though less than half of the US has legalized sports betting, the market cap was sitting pretty at $104.41 billion and expected to reach $155.49 billion by 2024 (this is an estimate, it was tough to nail down). This market is much larger if you include other global players like the UK, Australia, etc… who have already legalized sports betting. It’s clear that trends for this industry are going in the right direction and there’s still a strong opportunity for the first-mover advantage to take place.
Major Players:
Note: there are over 100 sports betting services on the market
The Opportunity:
As mentioned above, there is a huge problem with keeping track of all the different betting lines that exist - resulting in many people (unsuccessfully) using a spreadsheet. Here’s an article that explains why tracking betting lines is important.
The TL;DR is this, placing your bet on a site that has the most favorable odds results in you getting the highest return on that investment. Most people are doing one of these two things:
  1. Nothing. Rather than checking to see where they can get the best returns, they are just using their core betting app and taking the odds they are given. Depending on the bet size, that leaves hundreds of dollars on the table.
  2. Manually tracking the odds each betting site is offering and compiling the odds in a spreadsheet. This results in a lot of time spent switching between sites and transposing numbers.
Current Solutions:
How to Get Your First 10 Customers:
  1. Define Your Early Adopter: Your TAM is anyone who participates in sports betting, but I’d focus your efforts on finding people who acutely experience this pain. People who are spending a lot of time and money on sports betting have the most to lose. More specifically, hunt for people who’ve already created solutions to this problem themselves - like those using homegrown spreadsheets.
  2. Look for CDIs: When looking for channels to find potential users I ask myself “where do my potential customers hang out?”. In this case, I’d look at online communities like Sports Book and Sports Betting subreddits. By simply asking the question, “How do you track betting lines?” you’ll be able to start conversations with potential users about unmet needs.
  3. Create an Online Ad: I’d next test an offer to see if you can acquire potential users to sign up for your service. This can be as simple as creating a landing page (using marketing language from the conversations above) and run a paid ad to your target audience to collect emails.
  4. Build a Wizard of Oz Test: Now that you have a list from running the ad above, I’d see if you can monetize it. Contact people and charge a small fee to run a small wizard of oz test - you could manually pull lines based on the bets they're watching and send it to them in a daily email. Or, there’s likely a no-code tool you could use to scrape the data from existing sites and organize it for them.
I can see a freemium model working for this as well, so you may not need to monetize immediately. One great option would be to charge the bookmakers a fee for every bet you send to their platform.
Challenges:
Additional Opportunities:
There appears to be no shortage of companies trying to become the next big bookmakers. But, there’s plenty of opportunities this burgeoning market has opened up beyond just being a bookie. With this market in its infancy, you can bet (pun 100% intended) that there’s going to be a lot of room to expand your offerings. Whether it be sports betting tips, predictions, tools or even becoming a bookie yourself, there’s money to be made here.
While doing research on this, I found many people are struggling with keeping track of their bets and recording their results. This could be an easy addition to a solution to tracking betting lines. Here’s what some people said -

Thanks for reading everyone! I'll monitor the comments for any questions and stuff - would love feedback.

A Complete [Spoiler Free] Review of CyberPunk 2077, from a Nobody

I'm going to x-post this into a few subreddits that I think is relevant, because I am going to compare and reference those other games a bit heavily. So if you're wondering why you're seeing this there, that's why.
So I finally 100%'d the game. I work a full time job, so it did take a few weeks, but I did end up playing it every night with my usual RPG style: Do every sidequest available before moving onto the main quest. I did only play it once though, I haven't replayed it as something other than a Nomad Netrunner.
I'm playing on a PC with a GTX 1060 (6GB) and an i7-8700k (6-core 3.7GHz), so performance was between 30-60 depending on location, with an average of 40. I ran with the automatic and default settings at first, but turned off motion blur because it was annoying.
Bugs
I'm just going to open up with the bugs I encountered.
Other bugs:
  1. Crowds and cars pop in and out of existence, sometimes it's LOD traffic de-loading as I get close, sometimes it's right in front of me.
  2. T posing is uncommon, but I did notice it a handful of times. Usually during main quests. It got worse the bigger my save file got.
  3. Items people carried (phones, cigars, chopsticks) would often de-sync with their character's animation, leaving clones or floating items.
  4. You can't pick up items that drop too closely to literally anything, even grass.
  5. I walked through a wall once during one of the first assassination missions in the starter zone. I climbed a building to get a good shot.
  6. Sometimes when dropping bodies, they explode. I think it had something to do with proximity to other physics objects.
  7. Sometimes dialogue wouldn't play. Good thing I was playing with subtitles. The amount of times this happened could be counted with your fingers though.
  8. NPCs are terrible drivers. If they aren't swerving back and forth, they're literally running people over.
  9. Cops spawn very closely behind you.
  10. One time I tried to climb a tower, and got yeeted 350 meters away.
  11. After doing a system reset, and sometimes a ping, the scanning sound effect will persist until you scan something to reset the trigger.
  12. My character goes bald a lot. Usually in mirrors, but I noticed it in the panzer too.
  13. During Panam's quest, there's a side task you can go on to go kill someone. I knocked him out, but the dialogue implied he was killed.
Probably more, but those were the more memorable or common ones I found.
QOL and Gameplay
There's a few Quality of Life features the game is missing that make things, especially inventory management, tedious as hell.
  1. Sell amount should default to all, not 1, so I can quickly press tab to clear out all the consumables I want to sell.
  2. A lock feature in the inventory, which prevents you from selling locked items.
  3. Sub-categories for weapon types, consumable types, etc.
  4. Remove car sales from the quests menu and put them somewhere else, so I can ignore that spam.
  5. Also, on the chance I actually want to buy a car, maybe show me a pic instead of just the name and price? I know I can go into the database or text messages, but this is QOL at a glance stuff.
  6. Turning vehicles on keyboard tends to constantly over correct, so you end up serving very easily on fast cars. Once you get used to it and drive slower cars, it's a lot easier to drive, but maybe adopt some better driving mechanics, like Halo's steer where you look, or even just reducing the sensitivity.
  7. Walk toggle. The match NPC walking speed doesn't always work, and often I get really into gameplay and want to menacingly walk up to someone before killing them.
CDPR is amazing at accounting for almost every possible thing players will do, and having dialogue that references it. So it's a bit weird I couldn't do the following:
  1. During one quest to find a BD of a dead kid, I found two producers who edited the footage, but were obviously not apart of the gang. I wanted to knock one out, so I hit him with the butt of my rifle, and it just made a squish sound. Two more times, and he died, and the partner was crying about it. Kind of expected to have the option to deck him like you could the creepy lube doc from another quest.
  2. I get not changing my face, but eyes, scars, and cyber marks, even genitals should be something a ripperdoc could let me change. And can we get a hair salon somewhere?
Some things that were confusing:
  1. I still don't know how to change vehicles. If I buy a new one, or am granted one during a quest, that's the one that gets recalled. I went to the garage like the tip said, but I wasn't able to find any of my owned vehicles, so I dunno wtf is up with that.
  2. After the prologue, I had no idea a certain netrunner had died until someone mentioned it much later in the game. I guess if you do one of the side quests after the prologue it's much more clear.
Now onto the good stuff:
  1. The open world formula works very well for stealth IMO. Thought the same for MGSV, I love doing my own recon before going in.
  2. Movement is very fluid and agile once you get used to it. I love doing parkour, and the implants later on that improve your jumping give you so many options on how to enter areas.
  3. I really love how you can choose a class dynamically, and characters reference it. Hacking and high intel/tech is what I focused on, so people started calling me a netrunner. Felt like I earned the title, instead of just chose it at the beginning and building my character around it.
Graphics:
I mean, they're simply amazing really. I play on high, not ultra settings, and still get good frames. Not great, I know the PCMR loves their solid 60, but anything above 15/20 is playable, with 30 being the target. That extra smoothness of 60 is nice, but not really needed to enjoy.
The facial animations are perfect. They look real, and don't become uncanny at any point. I can really read the emotions in the actor's faces.
The world and city look huge. Having the distant mountains rendered, seas of landfill, urban sprawls, it's really simply amazing. Each part of the city is unique, there's plenty of little alleyways and buildings to explore, detail everywhere. It really does look like it took 7 years to make.
Story:
Spoiler free, don't worry.
The story is honestly great. Even with The Witcher 3, it took a while for me to get into it, I was really bored and uninterested at first, but it was about right after the prologue (act 2) that I started to get immersed. Couldn't put the game down after that.
The voice acting is great, I really like Female V's voice actor. Keanu though.... I mean, we've known he isn't the best actor since Matrix. What he lacks in acting he makes up for in stunts (and being a solid human being), which is why he's a solid role as John Wick, or even Neo, because the actual dialogue on those characters is pretty niche. But as game character Johhny? I dunno, whenever I hear him talk it just feels off.
The romance options were also a bit too limited IMO. You had your gay option, or straight option for both of V's genders. The straight options only care about body, but the gay options needed both voice and body. Genitals doesn't matter at all. So, as a straight girl, I only had a single option, and tbh, that single option just wasn't my type. I just wish I had more options is all.
I do rate the story pretty highly. It seems to take into account a lot of your actions, even ones you wouldn't expect. The fact everything is connected continues to cement CDPR as the best RPG game designer in the last 10 years. Obsidian taking a close 2nd.
One gripe I did have, is River's storyline is totally cliche as hell. You take pretty much any cop drama, and there you have it, nothing special. The rest of the quests did take traits from other Cyberpunk franchises, I loved seeing robocop, blade runner, aliens, judge dredd, and mad max references, but besides carrying over their themes, they weren't as pale as River's was.
When I went into Cyberpunk, I was expecting a bit more customization with V. What we got was great, don't get me wrong, but for some reason I thought we could chose our alias, personality, and backstory beyond the 3 options we get. I mean it's totally fine that V is their own character, with their own history and personality, and we just influence them in dialogue and gameplay like we did with Geralt, but it's just not what I was expecting.
Compared to other games
So I mentioned RPGs earlier up there, and ever since The Witcher 3, I've always wondered.... could CDPR replace Bethesda?
Well, the answer is no.
Bethesda games are a blend of simulation and RPG. In games like Fallout and Skyrim, everything interacts with each other; you can sit back and watch all the systems work, then jump in and watch it dynamically change to you actions. At it's heart, BGS games are literally freeform sandbox simulations, that just happen to also have RPG and adventure elements. While CDPR beats BGS with it's RPG and storytelling, it lacks in the simulation department. NPCs don't interact unless scripted, everyone disappears as soon as you look away, you'll see the same two cops arresting the same guy every time you walk by, and they will never move from that spot. BGS still beats CDPR in that regard, so it's a bit like comparing apples and oranges. They're both fruit, and you compare the strength of the skin, but at the end they just taste different.
I might be forgetting a few things, so I'll edit them in later.

Keeping track of betting lines is a pain

Hey everyone! I've been really geeking out on finding problems that I think could be turned into meaningful businesses. I do have an ask, but before I do that I'll provide some value first :)

Here’s my ask - I’m looking for feedback on whether posts like these are valuable enough to turn into a business. I’d like to send out a vetted problem/idea like this each week if there’s enough interest.
If you would like posts like these each week (and pay a small fee), please either DM me or reach out to [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]). If you reach out, I’ll give you another free problem/idea as thanks for your time!

It has been a little over a week now that I have had my Ender 3 Pro. Sharing some trials and successes with anyone who may benefit.

I received my printer in the usual way of UPS magic, no damage, ready to assemble. I ordered direct from Creality so, I had to wait for a coast to coast shipment.
Regarding purchase:
As mentioned, I ordered direct. Unless you have another reliable method where you won't overpay or receive a clone etc, order from Creality. I know, I know... but Amazon resellers and others were inflating the price. BUT - you do get the added bonus of crummy customer service and missing items if you order direct so, bonus! (No. That's not a bonus.) The first issue I have is they back-ordered a few items from my order which claimed were in stock; an upgraded extruder (aluminum), capricorn tubing, and some spools of filament; yet they charged my card for the complete total amount. It took a few broken English emails back and forth but, I eventually had the items canceled and the amount refunded. Minor gripe but, whatever.
In the meantime, while awaiting my printer, I set up an OctoPrint server on an RPi and made sure I could access it. Researched, researched, and researched some more. I had been wanting to get into this hobby for a while and now was my time to shine. I wanted to make sure I had a minor understanding of what to expect when my printer arrived.
Things to learn about:
-gcode - What is it and how does it work.
-Filament Properties - What to expect when working with different types and what to expect when using them. My advice, stick with PLA or PLA+ for your first prints.
-OctoPrint - How to's and what it's all about.

~~~ Now for the printer ~~~
Packing:
The printer was packed well and all parts were neatly tucked in black "foamish" packing. Hardware was labeled and instructions were available.
Assembly:
Do yourself a favor and watch a few YT videos before assembly. They will help you avoid some simple pitfalls and make the assembly easier. I found this one to be useful: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ibsOYzXduYc . The gentleman in the video was easy to follow and actually left a mistake or two in there BUT, then showed the correction. Since I had canceled the original back-ordered accessories, I ordered them through Jeff Bezos and installed them at this time as well. This was the yellow springs, capricorn tubing, and aluminum Bowden extruder top.
First Level/Print:
Ok, so sometimes I have moments in my life where I feel I am not a smart man. This was one of them. During my first homing of all axis, I attempted to level the bed to a height too high for the hot end to meet the bed properly. This caused my nozzle to scrape across the magnetic bed. I panicked a bit and felt defeated but, came back, leveled the bed properly, and away we went. The method I used was from this video: https://youtu.be/_EfWVUJjBdA . (Such a cool guy. Reminds me of my Dad.) My suggestion is to tighten down the bed a comfortably as you can (DONT CRANK IT DOWN) just below the nozzle tip when at home position. Then, download the files from the aforementioned video and go through the steps. They work and work great.
So, the FIRST thing I printed was the squares shown in CHEP's video and I was elated they came out perfect. Yes, they are stupid squares but, I was so happy. The layers looked great and they were satisfying to play with. The second (or first useable) print was the Raspberry Pi cam and arm mount to use with OctoPrint which also printed beautifully. I will also add, all of my prints have been sliced with Cura and loaded with OctoPrint. I have never used the included SD card or any other one for that matter.
My first real upgrade:
After a few successful prints, I thought ABL (Automatic Bed Leveling) might be a good idea. I crowdsourced some thoughts from this subreddit and bit the bullet. Also during this time, I was reading that most open source printers come from the factory without thermal protection so, naturally, I looked to upgrade the firmware. I decided since I was upgrading the firmware, I should add in a BL Touch to the install. DON'T DO THIS. Please. Upgrading your firmware is no simple task and adding in a new ecosystem to your printer without any prior knowledge leads to bad results. The videos I followed were:
https://youtu.be/rjRmBbuN6iA - Marlin Firmware 2.0 - Should you upgrade and why not?
https://youtu.be/RbbzsJBpEhc - Ender 3 (Pro) Marlin 2 0 Installation Upgrade - Updated Version
My failures were NOT his fault, both of these videos from Crosslink are excellent. (Cool dude!)
After the physical installation of the BL touch, I thought, "I'm a software dev, I can add in a bl touch to this config file. Pfft!", yeah, no. While some may be successful, I was not. I was unable to print anything and my printer was basically a sad cartesian system with no purpose but to aggravate me. SO - I went back to Crosslinks videos, ACTUALLY LISTENED TO HIM, and only installed what is required and made the necessary adjustments as he indicates. I manually leveled my bed (thanks CHEP!) and was off printing again. In between successes and failures, I stuck with it and eventually found results aplenty. BL touch isn't something I am ready for yet so, we will wait for that upgrade later. I will be sticking with manual leveling for now.
FINALLY, after a day and night of working at it, last night I was able to print the beginnings of a rear Y cable chain assembly and a small "Eevee" (sp?) Pokemon for my daughter and once again I was delighted.
Overall, I am super happy with this printer and highly recommend it for someone starting out in 3D printing. They are inexpensive and just open source enough to offer a challenge to those looking for it.
Final Results: - Ender 3 Pro - Capricorn PTFE - Yellow Bed Springs - Silicone Hot End "sock" - Aluminum Bowden Extruder Assy. - Marlin 2.0 firmware - Successful prints!
TL;DR: Great printer, upgrades can be difficult but, rewarding. You will learn a lot in the beginning and don't give up because something doesn't work. There are TONS of resources out there to help.
I hope this helped you!
All the best and Happy Printing!!
